Of bombé form, the brèche d'Alep marble top above two drawers flanked by rocaille-cast angle mounts, the drawer fronts and the sides with Chinese black lacquer scenes decorated with figures, birds, beasts and pavilions in river landscapes, the cabriole legs with scrolled sabots, stamped four times 'DF JME', inscribed to the reverse in white chalk 'Salon Bleue', the reverse and lower drawer interior each with an old label inscribed '13936', the underside stenciled twice in white paint 'AR', the underside of marble inscribed in pencil 'Commode en Laque'
