The Virgin depicted wearing a silver-gilt halo and standing on a stylised cloud and crescent moon and with a cherub by her right leg; both figures with inset glass eyes; signed and dated beneath the cloud 'P. Araugo fe 1694'; on a later brown-painted rectangular wood base; minor wear to polychromy and areas probably refreshed
