Design for Ulster Bank

The works included in the present lot and lot 167 are preparatory drawings for the bronze sculptures that were commissioned by the Ulster Bank in 1961 for its premises at the corner of Great Victoria Street and Dublin Road, looking out on Shaftesbury Square. The completed work was installed on the high panel wall of the bank in June 1964.
