This table appears to incorporate several elements related to designs by the celebrated English cabinet-maker of the George III period, Thomas Chippendale, such as the decoration to the frieze and the square tapering legs on stepped feet which feature on a table at Harewood House illustrated in C. Gilbert, The Life and Work Of Thomas Chippendale, London, 1978, pp.260, fig. 474.
