Derived from one of the frescoes in the Capela Paolina in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome. A drawing for the fresco of Saint Dominic, in the same chapel, is at Windsor (O. Kurz, Bolognese Drawings at Windsor Castle, London, 1955, no. 337, pl. 63).
