拍品专文

Jungjin Lee’s work conveys a profound sense of stillness and wonder. Born in Korea and based in New York, she previously worked as an assistant to the photographer Robert Frank and is known for her meditative, painterly landscapes. In 2015, Lee was among five contemporary photo‑based artists commissioned by the Norton Museum of Art to produce new work in response to the Florida Everglades. Addressing the physical, ideological, and aesthetic boundaries of this uniquely complex environment, the resulting series was presented at the Norton Museum in the exhibition Imaging Eden. Her work is in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Korea, and others. She has published more than ten monographs, including Desert (2017) and Unnamed Road (2023).
