Château La Lagune
To the south of Margaux is Château La Lagune. When exiting the city of Bordeaux on a tour of the left bank, Château La Lagune is the first château of interest on the D2, or route des vins. This troisième cru is one of those châteaux that has had its ups and downs. Most recently, it is on the up and up; it produces a wine not unlike that made to the north in Margaux. In 1928, Château La Lagune was still producing fine wines of elegance and Margaux-like bouquet and finesse.
