The case with brass handle to inverted bell top, with two glazed panels to each side and gilt-metal spandrels to the front door, on squab feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, silvered centre signed Goodyer/London, with mock pendulum and date apertures, with strike/silent ring in the arch, the eight day twin gut fusee movement with five pillars, now with anchor escapement, with hour strike on bell and pull quarter repeat on six bells, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls and a basket -- 19in. (48.5cm.) high to fold of handle
