A Regency mahogany, ebony and satinwood line inlaid longcase clock, circa 1820
The breakarch hood with wavy cresting and brass ball and eagle finial (damages), pierced fret roundels to the sides, with reeded three-quarter pilasters flanking the short arched trunk door, the 13in. diameter white painted Arabic dial with crossed minute track, with subsidiary seconds and date rings, steel hands, with false plate stamped WOOD to the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 82in. (208cm.) high
