Shaped circular, the border cast and chased with Venus masks and winged dragons at intervals, with foliage, scrolls and flowers between, the centre with a later applied detachable cartouche engraved with 'GG' cypher, marked underneath

The cypher is that of Gregory de Ligne Gregory (d.1854) of Harlaxton Manor, Lincolnshire.
