a book of prayers, Arabic manuscript on gold-sprinkled cream paper, 140ff. plus one flyleaf, each with 12ll. of strong black naskh, punctuation in red, occasional words and phrases in red, headings in red and gold in gold ruled panels, gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, marginal notes in black and red, (light smudging and staining, folios slightly trimmed, a few folios coming loose from binding), opening bifolio illuminated in gold and polychrome, red lacquer binding with black medallion and pendants painted with floral sprays and meadering floral vine border, plain black lacquer doublures with red and gold border, (a few small repairs)
