A note at the end, written by Abu'l-Fadl b. Fadullah in Jumada II AH 1297/May 1880 AD, states that the book was written for the king Mu'iz al-Din Ghiyas al-Islam Abu'l-Fath Muhammad b. Malakshah Seljuki, and that there were copies written in nasta'liq and ta'liq as well as shikasteh. The scribe, Aqa Muhammad Kazim Isfahani, was a leading calligrapher who worked during the time of Shah Abbas II and Shah Sulaiman Safavi.
