The engraving on this salver is well-documented by two signatures below the decoration. The first indicates that the design was drawn by Adriaan Doesjan (1740-1817), an artist from Hoorn. The second signature is that of the engraver, Hendrik Bordes, probably a relation of Jean-Pierre Bordes, a well-known engraver of Amsterdam, working circa 1800.
