Rectangular, with a step-molded base, the hinged molded cover with a hexagonally-faceted finial, opening above a lock and keyhole, one side engraved with a coat-of-arms within an architectural cartouche with rustication and bird's heads, the other side engraved with a crest within a similar cartouche, marked under base and cover, Britannia standard marks--5 1/8in.
