The case with handle to cushion-moulded top, glazed sides, later escutcheon to the front door, the moulded base on block feet, the 5 in. sq. dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with sword-hilt half hour markers, pierced blued steel hands, matted centre, winged cherub spandrels, the four pillar single fusee (wire lines) movement with verge escapement, pull quarter repeat on two bells, the back-plate engraved with scrolling foliage with central wheatear engraved oval signed Fab.
