A Regency rosewood library mantel timepiece

The case with stepped and chamfered top, gilt-brass fillets to the arched glazed sides, fielded panel beneath the dial to the front door with chamfered angles, solid rear door and on square block feet, the circular silvered chapter disc engraved Vulliamy, London., Roman chapters with pendulum regulation square at XII and heavy blued steel hands, the massive movement with six pillars rivetted to the back-plate and screwed to the front-plate, the dial feet fixed with large latches to the inside of the front-plate, single chain fusee, anchor escapement with later pendulum, pendulum regulation bar bridging the top of the plates, the plain back-plate engraved Vulliamy London 956
