The case with handle and foliate mount to the brass-lined inverted bell-top, the front door of typical Ellicott design with four foliate spandrels within brass quarter borders, foliate scoll feet, rectangular brass mask signed Ellicott London and with strike/silent lever to the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced blued steel hands (probably later), the five pillar twin fusee (wire lines) movement with re-built verge escapment and strike on bell (lacking), the foliate engraved back-plate signed in the centre Ellicott London
