Probably from the rim of a large vessel, the figure reclining on his left elbow, his right leg bent at the knee and crossing over the left leg, his right hand resting on his knee, wearing a himation with a decorative zig-zag border over his left shoulder, across his waist, and around his legs, the incised folds giving volume to his body, the short hair rolled back from the forehead over a diadem, 3in. (7.6cm.) long
