A Black Eagle
inscribed 'Neopus Malaiensis. black Eagle. J.32. haini Jal.13 July79. Found in most of the hilly districts of India and throughout the Himmalayas. It is seldom seen to perch but almost allday circles at no great height with scarcely any flapping of the wings, and lives almost exclusively on robbing birdsnests devouring both eggs and young ones.'
