A Young and Adult Crested Serpent Eagle
inscribed 'Spilornis cheela A Young and Adult Crested Serpent Eagle J.39./Maddsghat 13th. Dec ? 78. Singaighat.15 Dec?78.- Found over all India, chiefly in jungly and wellwooded districts. Feeds chiefly on snakes, lizards, rats & frogs. Breeds on trees, nest of sticks, eggs two dirty white with a few dark specks.' (lower centre)
