Les pièces d’Ingrid Donat présentées ici témoignent de l’aboutissement des recherches qu’elle mène depuis la fin des années 1990 autour du motif de la Caryatide. Héritée de l’architecture antique mais profondément réinventée, cette structure devient chez l’artiste un principe à la fois formel et symbolique. Ingrid Donat s’approprie ce vocabulaire classique pour en proposer une interprétation personnelle. Ses figures adoptent des postures courbées et tendues, transformant la fonction porteuse en une présence expressive et sensible.
