Compare the similar small (5.4 cm.) jade figural pendant of a man with a mustache and a beard, , also depicted with crossed arms hidden within the sleeves of his long robe, and also with a cylindrical, vertical channel for stringing, dated Song dynasty, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - 41 - Jadeware (II), Hong Kong, 1995, p. 100, no. 87.
