A FINELY CARVED CHICKEN BONE JADE VASE AND WOOD COVER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The lobed vase has a tapering ovoid body that is surmounted with a tall neck that rises to a slightly flared rim. It is delicately carved around the body with panels of stylised acanthus flower heads and gently curled leaves. The neck is applied with four monster-mask handles with loose rings. The stone ranges from opaque creamy white tones to mottled greyish-brown tones.
