The dodecagonal top with double-hinged sides, on through-tenoned and chamfered understructure, with paper depository label to the underside printed 'BARNBY, BENDALL & CO. LTD. DEPOSITORY, CHELTENHAM' and 'A-1925 H&H,LTD.,C.' and inscribed in pencil 'Winterbotham 372'

The Arts & Crafts designer Gordon Russell (d. 1980) designed this 'Miniature Gateleg Table in Oak' in 1925, later annotating the word 'Walnut' on the design. Examples, such as the present table, were also produced in yew, brown oak, and bog oak.
