Comprising a chest and a linen press, the chest with four graduated long drawers, the linen press with a pair of panelled cupboard doors above two short and three graduated long drawers, both with indistinct chalk inscriptions to the reverse, the locks of both all stamped 'Secure 2 Lever'
The chest: 36¼ in. (92 cm.) high; 30 in. (76 cm.) wide; 19¾ in. (50 cm.) deep
The linen press: 59½ in. (151 cm.) high; 43½ in. (110.5 cm.) wide; 20½ in. (52 cm.) deep (2)

Ambrose Heal favoured simplicity, good proportions and good workmanship in his designs. He was able to combine Arts and Crafts principals with machine manufacture. He further aligned himself with the Arts and Crafts movement by exhibiting at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society from 1899, though he only actually joined in 1906.
