Chancery 4° (202 x 139mm). Gothic type, one initial space. (Some neat repairs at hinges, one other leaf repaired at margin, one small marginal wormhole, uniform dampstain.) Early 20th-century half vellum reusing a manuscript leaf from a 15th-century Missal. Provenance: early inscription on first leaf (washed).
SECOND EDITION. This Dialogue "appears to have been occasioned by the resolution of the town council of 'Thenae', i.e. Thiene, or the modern Thuin, in Hainault, to suspend the exemption granted to the clergy from certain taxes" (BMC). Goff records only one copy. HC *6140; BMC I, 42; BSB-Ink U-77; CIBN U-30; Goff D-162.
