Circular dark green composition box, the independent cover, sides and base encrusted with pink gold piqué posé stripes, the lid centred by an oval glazed miniature of a young gentleman in aubergine-coloured coat, black wig-bag and white lace cravat, framed by a ribbon-twist gold border, the outer gold mounts identically decorated, the interior lined with dark composition
