Each richly-gilt with scrolling foliage, flowers and fretwork, the waisted and domed cover with pine-cone finial, above a pierced acanthus neck, the cylindrical tapering body decorated on one vase with a scene depicting a courting couple and boy by a river, and on the other with a man and two women pruning a tree, the reverse of each painted with a river view, applied with a pair of scrolled handles headed by female busts, on spreading laurel-cast foot and cartouche-fronted shaped square base
