Lissadell, in a dramatic setting in Co. Sligo, was built in the austere Greek-revival style between 1831 and 1835 for Sir Robert Gore-Booth, 4th Bt. to a design by Francis Goodwin. It replaced an earlier Georgian house, and it is possible that this tripod table was part of the furnishings of that house which was nearer the shore than the present house.
