An English mahogany longcase clock
The hood with wavy arch cresting and brass ball and spire finials, outset brass stop-fluted reeded columns, formerly glazed side panels, the breakarch trunk door with moulded frame, on plinth with quatreform panel, the 12in. wide painted Arabic dial with gilt Greek key border, rose spandrels, subsidiary seconds ring and arched date aperture to the centre signed Kimber/Uxbridge, blued steel moon hands, the arch painted with a basket of roses, with WALKER & FINNEMORE falseplate to the four pillar movement with rack strike on bell; case associated to movement and dial, last quarter 18th century -- 89½in. (227cm.) high
