A stained ivory netsuke in the form of a mushroom
19th Century
naturalistically carved simulating veining to the top, a smaller mushroom issuing from the stalk, incised signature to underside -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; a wood netsuke of a group of mushrooms and a nut -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) wide; and a wood netsuke of an oni stuck inside a box, his arm reaching out through a small hole to the side, incised signature to reverse -- 1 3/8in. (3.5cm.) high, (minor wear).
