Guérin in a pale palette with lovers in pastoral landscapes enclosed within oval seeded gilt palm-frond reserves outlined with elaborate gilt scrolls, flowers and diaper, divided by a central reserve of flowers, the reverses similarly painted with two cartouches of rural landscapes divided by flowers within similar gilt outlines, mounted with pink onyx shelves, gilt-metal capitals, bands above and below the flower reserves and on shaped-square bases cast with stepped bands of leaves, artist's signatures, late 19th Century
