The katana 15th Century and wakizashi 18th century
The katana blade honzukuri, iorimune, small point (ko-gissaki) and torii-zori with full length grooves and machi-okuri nakago, signed Bishu Osafune ju Morimitsu and, dated Oei jyuyo nen (1407), 59.1cm.; the wakizashi blade hirazukuri, iorimune and torii-zori with a dragon swallowing a ken horimono on the omote and futasujibi on the ura with a tama in an auspicious cloud, itame hada mixed with a little masame and suguba-komidare hamon of ko-nie, ubunakago inscribed Yamashiro kuni Nishi ju Umetada Hikozaemon Muneyoshi and dated Anei sannen (1774) hachigatsu no hi horu dosaku, 35.5cm.; with brown ishimeji-nuri scabbards and with kogai and kozuka, these with tsuba and fuchi inscribed Omori Eishu (saya of katana lacking kojiri) (2)
