On circular foot chased with a band of dentilation and foliate scrolls, rising to a knopped baluster stem chased and applied with cherub's masks and scrolls, the lower body of the cup similarly chased, below an applied mid-band, with slightly everted plain rim, the foot engraved with an inscription, apparently unmarked--9in.(23cm.) high
