Circular, with a molded rim, the dished center with a raised boss surmounted by a figure of the Virgin of Guadeloupe, the rim engraved on the reverse with inscription ESTE PLATO SEDIO DELIMOSNA ALPUEBLO DESANTIAGO AYAPANGO YLODIO LA COFRADIA. ANO DE1636, struck on rim with crowned pillars of Hercules and with traces of quinto mark of arms of Spain--9 1/2in.(24.1cm.) diameter
