Of circular form chased with vertical flutes, raised on four acanthus scroll feet. with two acanthus loop handles and everted acanthus and shell rim, the fluted domed cover with reeded and acanthus loop handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto within a foliate scroll cartouche, the other side later chased with a foliate scroll cartouche, marked under base, on cover and finial--length over handles 13in.(31cm.)
