From the Story of Judith and depicting Judith offering to save the citizens of Bethulta by sacrificing Holofernes, (or is it Judith presenting the head of Holofernes to the citizens of Bethulta, with Judith before a large scale weighted down by a mask, and a large bag, the other scale with a sword and flowers, with the townspeople in the distance pleading to Judith, within borders woven with blossoming and fruiting baskets afternating with eagles and putti, with lions' masks at the angles, the upper central border inscribed JUDITH VIDVA PONDERAT POPULI VIRTUTES ET VITIA HIS SUPERANTIBUS ISREAL PUNITUR, and the lower right selvedge woven with E. LEYNIERS and the Brussels town mark (distressed)-12ft. 8in. x 14ft. 9in. (3m. 85cm. x 4m. 45cm.)
