Of tapering cylindrical form, on molded foot, the side spout issuing from foliate cut-card and with hinged cap, the wood scroll handle issuing from similar cut-card decoration, the high domed cover with lobed band below an applied applied reeded mid-rib and surmounted by a bead finial, the hinge pin joined to the scroll thumbpiece with a chain, engraved under base with initials AR, marked on body and cover and with scratch weight 28-72--10in. (25.4cm.) high
