Of shaped oval form, on spreading oval foot pierced with pales, the body pierced and engraved with a scalloped band of alternating shells and foliage above similar foliage and below wrigglework bands, pierced with similar scallops with similar decoration below a reeded rim, the overhead swing handle with reeded rims and wrigglework borders enclosing an oval cartouche engraved with a crest, marked under base and on handle--13 1/2in.
