The circular vase-shaped body on spreading rim foot chased with a band of dentilation, the part-fluted body with acanthus scroll spout, the gadrooned rim with acanthus and shells at intervals, the ivory scroll handle with snake-form socket, the hinged flat cover with ivory fluted bead finial, the body engraved with a presentation inscription, marked on body and cover, also struck with French control marks for 1808-1819--5¾in. (14.6 cm.) high
