In the Renaissance style, each of baluster form with shell-moulded shoulder and neck, the mouth extending into entwined handles, Water with a triton seated on the shoulder, his head coming up between the handles, a tail coiled on each side, his hands holding as if reins the tips of the dolphin's fins, its mask at the shoulder beneath the spout, swags of seaweed draped on each side, the lower portion with stiff leaf tips beneath an oak-leaf band, the fluted socle with beaded collar and a wreath of overlapping stiff leaf tips around the circumference, raised on a further square base, the sides with strapwork decoration; Wine similarly decorated with a satyr, goatmask and swags of fruiting grape vine, 15¾in. (40cm.) high; together with a Wedgwood black basaltes figure of Cupid, impressed uppercase mark and CUPID at the back, after the model by Falconet, the pensive winged god of Love seated on rocks, his quiver of arrows dangling from his left hand, 8in.
