Each shaped oblong, on four shell and bracket feet, the border chased at intervals with flutes, the gadrooned rim with shells, foliage and fruit at intervals, the center engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto within a rococo cartouche, marked on reverses

The arms are those of Legard, baronets. Sir Thomas Legard, 7th baronet, a Commander in the Navy, succeeded his brother in 1808. He married Sarah Bishop in 1802 and died in 1860.
