Portraits include a group portrait of three Tibetan or North Indian girls standing on a roadside with baskets, Singhalese girls, a group of tribesmen in traditional dress sitting in the grass, Indian musicians, a portrait of four Christian Indian girls, a group portrait of twenty-four magnificently dressed Indian children with their European governess, and a group of five Indian men seated with 'Gordon's Tiger'.
