拍卖简介
Christie’s Art d’Asie auction in Paris brings together a refined selection of 126 works from European private collections. Leading the sale is an imperial gilt-bronze dragon ritual bell, bianzhong, dated 1743, offered from a distinguished private collection and carrying early, prestigious provenance. The auction also features highlights from the Vint family collection, including jade carvings, cloisonné enamels, porcelains and a rare group of amber pieces.
Among the standout lots is an exceptional group of five important lacquer wares, most notably a rare Yuan–early Ming lobed box and cover decorated with two phoenix. The sale further includes a selection of archaic bronzes from a European private collection, as well as a small but carefully chosen group of Chinese paintings from European sources.
Completing the ensemble is a significant section of Himalayan bronzes, highlighted by a rare copper-alloy figure of Vajrahumkara from the 9th–10th century and an important silver-inlaid gilt copper-alloy figure of Padmapani Lokeshvara from the 9th century, both distinguished by prominent provenances and scholarly publications.
