The moulded rectangular breccia marble top above a fallfront inlaid with geometrical banding, centred by a canopy above a writing-desk equipped with candle, vase of flowers, books and ink pot, enclosing a leather-lined writing-surface, a shelf, three recesses and four small drawers, one fitted, above a pair of doors inlaid with Neoclassical vases, the sides with a flower spray above a vase, with shaped apron and bracket feet, stamped 'BOUDIN' and twice 'L. MOREAU', retorations, the marble with repaired break, the interior drawers reveneered, the lower section probably originally with a coffre-fort
