Released in 2023, the collaboration between H. Moser & Cie. and the renowned retailer Bucherer resulted in a trio of highly exclusive timepieces available only through Bucherer boutiques. Two iterations of the Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon Aventurine and the Pioneer Tourbillon Concept Aventurine, such as the present timepiece, were part of the collection. While most Bucherer-exclusive models are known for their signature blue-finished metal dials, these watches instead feature dials crafted from aventurine glass, also known as goldstone. This material, glass infused with metallic inclusions, creates a shimmering, star-like effect that beautifully evokes the appearance of a night sky.
Limited to just 18 pieces worldwide, the Pioneer Tourbillon Concept Aventurine combines an 18k pink gold case with black DLC-coated titanium, producing a striking two-tone aesthetic that perfectly complements the deep midnight-blue dial. The contemporary character of the watch is enhanced by the visual contrast of these materials. The otherwise clear dial is given a dynamic focal point at six o'clock with a flying tourbillon with skeletonized bridges completing a full rotation every sixty seconds. Super-LumiNova-treated leaf-shaped hands guarantee outstanding legibility against the crisp, dark background.
The watch offers an amazing 72-hour power reserve, indicating the manufacturer's technical proficiency despite the energy requirements usually associated with a tourbillon. Rather than remaining a purely understated creation, the Pioneer Tourbillon Concept Aventurine commands attention through its thoughtful design and refined materials. The result is an exceptional timepiece that pushes the boundaries of contemporary horology while delivering a mesmerizing and highly distinctive visual presence.
