A DOUCAI 'DRAGON' JAR
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-1735)
Of ovoid form, the exterior of the jar is delicately painted with five dragon roundels interspersed with stylised lotus scrolls, above a border of upright petal lappets. The shoulder is enamelled with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, set between two ruyi-bands.
