Oblong with cut corners, the cover enamelled with a stag hunt in a classical landscape on a blue ground within a wirework border, heightened with pale blue medallions, the sides with blue enamel panels, the panel in the base sliding to reveal a secret compartment containing four enamel counters, each enamelled with one of the four suits of cards on one side and an inscription on the other, the inside of the cover later engraved with an inscription, marked inside and under sliding cover, the rim with a later import mark

The inscription inside reads: 'Souvenir du 2 Juillet La Fête de Lili Le roman de Lili La victoire d'Adolar'.
The inscriptions on the counters read: 'je suis fortuné', 'je gagne toujours', 'je porte bonheur' and 'je porte l'esperance'.
