One a white jade shield-shaped pendant finely carved in Western Han style, pierced with an aperture and incised with fine scrolls, carved along the edges with asymmetrical openwork scrolls tapering on one side to a long curved point; the other a small olive-green and brown jade recumbent bovine carved in Shang style, of thick, arched triangular section, the head well carved with facial details and the body with angular scrolls, with a bull-nose channel drilled through the underside
