manuscript on buff paper, 256ff. plus three flyleaves, each with 16ll. or 17ll. of strong black naskh, punctuation in red and green, three red dots between verses, extensive marginal notes in red, black and green regarding varying methods of recitation, sura headings in red, (some smudging and staining, minor wear to folio edges), opening double folio illuminated in red, green and yellow on the bottom half of the page below an inscription in red introducing the opening and second suras, colophon on penultimate folio dated 126, light brown morocco binding with blind tooled arabesque medallion and spandrels, the pendants containing the word Allah (minor wear)

The quality of this manuscript is unusually good for an East African Qur'an.
